Sanity

Yeah, I’m stuck here
In the modern age
Technological fears
We’re trapped like slaves

Inside my cubicle
With my computer screen
We’re all just robots
Dying for money dreams

Part of my thirst just won’t die
It comes over the landslide
Of material things
To keep us satisfied

I’m driving
I’m in traffic
Looking for an opening
If the seas would part
My car would be flying

I’ve got no such luck
It’ll be awhile
Can my soul stay alive
While I feel petrified

Part of my thirst just won’t die
It comes over the landslide
Of material things
To keep us satisfied

I’m still hoping
We’ll wake up
And realize
Life is meant to be free

If your heart tears out
A new way of living
You’d better follow it
For the sake of sanity
